A panoramic view
The tower which is also named “The lantern of the dead” is 46 meters high. We need to climb 204 steps to reach the headlight.
In the middle of the tower, there is a war museum which is constituted by military equipments and French and German uniforms.
At the top of the tower there is a bronze bell of 2042kg and a headlight with four rotating fires which are alternatively red or white.
On the landing of the headlight, we can see a panorama of the battlefield in all the directions which are marked on a view point.
